Homemade Spiced Nuts

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

I hope you’ll allow me one more festive holiday recipe. Honestly, these Holiday Spiced Nuts are so tasty, they can (and should!) be enjoyed all year!

Homemade Spiced Nuts

Around Thanksgiving, I was in Lancaster, PA and popped into Lancaster Central Market. While there, I stumbled upon Totally Nutz, which sells various cinnamon glazed nuts. They were so addicting, I wanted to try my own at home!

Homemade Spiced Nuts

This recipe includes a bit more of the “holiday” spices than just cinnamon and includes four different types of nuts: pecans, walnuts, almonds, and cashews for a tasty sweet and spiced mixture!

Homemade Spiced Nuts

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shelled pecans
  • 1 cup shelled walnuts
  • 1 cup roasted unsalted almonds
  • 1 cup unsalted roasted cashews
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

To make, preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Add the nuts to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

Follow with the remaining ingredients.

Stir to evenly coat.

Then, spread into an even layer.

Add to your oven for 12 minutes at 375 degrees F.

Remove and carefully stir.

Let cool, stirring occasionally to break up any stuck pieces.

Homemade Spiced Nuts

I had a hard time not snacking on these while they were cooling, it really makes your house smell amazing. I love how the spices enhance the roasted flavor of the nuts!

Homemade Spiced Nuts

This recipe is super adaptable – add in any nut combination you like or adjust the spices (you can make this even more simple and just use some pumpkin pie spice!) If you like a little heat, you could even sprinkle in a pinch of cayenne to amp up the flavor!
