Homemade Chocolate Peanut Fudge

Now that I know how darn easy it is to make homemade fudge, I like experimenting and making my own at home when the mood strikes me. This recipe for Homemade Chocolate Peanut Fudge uses just 5 ingredients and can be made with ingredients you might already have in your home!

Homemade Chocolate Peanut Fudge

I used peanuts in the below recipe, but really any nut you enjoy can be substituted in (walnuts would be the more traditional choice).

Homemade Chocolate Peanut Fudge

Ingredients:

  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into smaller pieces
  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup roasted salted peanuts

Add parchment paper (paid link) to an 8×8 inch baking pan with sides (paid link).

Add the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and butter to microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes.

Remove from the microwave and stir to combine.

Add the chocolate chips.

Stir in the chocolate chips until completely dissolved. If they aren’t completely melting, you can add back to the microwave for 30 seconds and stirring again. Repeat until the mixture is smooth.

Finally, stir in the peanuts until evenly incorporated.

Scrape the mixture into your prepared 8×8 dish, using a spatula to smooth the top – the mixture will be pretty thick.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight. After the fudge has been refrigerated, remove the fudge from the dish by lifting the parchment paper out.

Cut into bite-sized squares, about 36 squares.

Super simple, right?

I love the pop of saltiness and crunch from the peanuts, it’s a great complement to the rich chocolate fudge!
