Holidays are a great time to come up with some creative recipes! This recipe is a cute and easy to make Easter dessert using Snack Pack Pudding Cups, Honey Maid Graham Crackers, Oreos, Coconut Flakes, and other Easter Candy to make mini Easter Baskets!
I picked up all of the ingredients for this recipe at Walmart. The SUPER Snack Packs, Honey Maid Graham Crackers, and Oreos can all be found in the same aisle (at least at my Walmart in Philly)!
Some stores even have a special display featuring the SUPER Snack Packs and ideas for mixins for Easter. The display has a recipe tear pad with more recipes if you’re looking for more inspiration. (Walmart also has a coupon for $0.50 off SUPER Snack Pack Pudding Cups at the moment.)
Ingredients:
- 1 (6-pack) Creamy Chocolate SUPER Snack Packs
- 2 Honey Maid Honey-flavored Graham Crackers
- 6 Oreos
- 2 tablespoons coconut flakes
- 1 tablespoon green sprinkles, plus more for decoration
- “Easter basket candy” of your choice (small chocolate bunnies, chocolate eggs, marshmallow chicks, etc.)
- 6 pipe cleaners (or fuzzy sticks)
Add the graham crackers and Oreos to a plastic zip top bag.
Seal the bag and crush the cookies and crackers with a rolling pin or canned good until mostly finely ground (it’s ok if there are still some chunks in it).
Shake the bag to combine the graham crackers and cookies. This is the “dirt” for your Easter Basket Pudding Cup.
Add the coconut flakes to a small bowl. Add the green sprinkles and mix to combine. This will be the “grass” for your basket.
To assemble, open all of the SUPER Snack Packs (the new easy open lids make this super simple!)
Top each Snack Pack with the “dirt”mixture to cover the pudding.
Top the “dirt” with the “grass” mixture. You can sprinkle on some more of the green sprinkles to really make it look green.
At this point, you want to make the handles for your baskets. Form the pipe cleaners into a rounded handle. Take the remaining parts of the pipe cleaner and form around the back of the Snack Pack and twist together to hold. This is what they look like off of the Snack Packs.
If you wanted to, you could glue these on to the snack packs using a hot glue gun, but I’d suggest just keeping them the way they are for simple removal once you want to eat the baskets. The handle is for decoration only, and the Snack Packs should not be picked up by the handles!
Fill your Easter “baskets” with whatever candy you prefer. I went for some with chocolate eggs and some with marshmallow chicks.
If you are making these for a party, you can add all of the “baskets” to a large plate covered in Easter Basket Grass.
This recipe is really simple and comes together in no time. Aren’t they so cute?
What makes this recipe even more simple to make is that all of the ingredients used in this post can be found at Walmart in the grocery section. (I found the pipe cleaners in the arts and crafts section, and the grass in the seasonal section near the cards.)
They taste great too! The Oreos and Honey Maid Graham Crackers add a nice crunch, and the coconut flavor works so well with the pudding cups!
What candies would you put on top to decorate your Easter Basket Snack Pack?
