Bacon Bloody Mary

What could possibly make a traditional Bloody Mary even better? Bacon of course! The smoky taste of bacon is a perfect upgrade to everyone’s favorite brunch accompaniment.  I used Bakon Vodka to make this Bacon Bloody Mary, but you can also make your own homemade version if you so choose.
Bacon Bloody Mary
Ingredients (makes one drink):
1 1/2 oz Bakon Vodka
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
Juice of 1/2 a lime
1 teaspoon Worcestershire
4 drops tabasco, or more if you want it spicy
1/2 teaspoon Old Bay, plus more to rim the glass
Tomato Juice
1 piece of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 celery stalk
Ice

Begin by cooking your bacon. You want it crispy, so cook for 3-5 minutes on each side. Allow to cool on a paper towel. When cool enough to handle, crumble the bacon.
To rim the pint glass, take the lemon or lime wedge and rub the glass rim with the wedge. Add some Old Bay to a plate.
Place the glass, rim side down, in the Old Bay, turning to evenly adhere the Old Bay to the glass.
Fill a mixing glass with ice. Add the vodka, lemon and lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, tabasco, and old Bay. Cover and shake to mix. Add the tomato juice to fill. Cover, shake, and pour into a pint glass rimmed with Old Bay. Garnish the Bloody Mary with celery and the bacon.
Yup. I think it goes without saying that the Bakon Vodka is absolutely delicious in a Bloody Mary.
I love the smokiness added to the tangy tomato juice and heat from the tabasco.
Be careful, once you’ve had a Bacon Bloody Mary, you might never be willing to settle for a traditional Bloody Mary again! 🙂

Okay, I have to say it: SHUDDER! Haha, I am not a huge bacon fan… but I have to say, very creative, with the rim and the decoration! Well done, I bet this is paradise for bacon fans.

I’ve never heard of bacon vodka? Why am I missing out?!

Lol – I actually always use A1 in my bloody mary’s for that extra meaty flavor. My goal now is to hunt down this Bakon

I cannot try one of these. A new habit I don’t need. A love a boozy Sunday brunch so these could make Mondays even more difficult..

So I was just thinking, ‘Mmm Bacon Bloody Mary’ and then I realized that you actually found bacon flavored vodka. I wonder if they sell this in IV bags to just pump it in our systems.
