3rd Blogiversary and Giveaway!

On November 16, 2010, I wrote my first blog post. I knew very little about cooking and even less about photography and having a blog (which is very apparent when scanning my first posts). Three years and 470 posts (!) later, I still have quite a bit to learn about cooking, photography, and blogging, but can see my progress through my posts. Although I never really thought anyone would read my posts, I sure am happy you guys do 🙂 So to celebrate, I made a little coffee-themed giveaway! cropped-icancookthatlogonopoint1 Included:

  • 1 Bodum Brazil French Press Coffee Maker
  • 1 Proctor-Silex Coffee Grinder
  • 1 10 oz tin of La Colombe Nizza Whole Beans
  • 2 Salt Fired Pottery Mugs from ClayRoadStudios

(I will have a photo of the basket up soon, the mugs are still on their way to me!)

I love the taste of French Press Coffee; it’s a nice little escape. It only takes a few minutes to make and delivers a really delicious cup of coffee.

To make sure you are getting the freshest possible coffee, I’ve included a coffee grinder so you can have fresh grounds each time you use your French press.

La Colombe Coffee is a favorite in the Philadelphia area. The company has expanded to other cities and is considered one of the best coffees in Philly. The Nizza blend includes beans from Brazil, El Salvador, Ethiopia, and Honduras. (It also makes a great espresso)

I absolutely LOVE these mugs. They are perfect for a weekend morning to really sit down, relax, and enjoy the cup of coffee you just poured yourself. I honestly wanted to keep these for myself! They are the work of Tricia from ClayRoadStudios; head over to her Etsy Shop to check out all of her other beautiful pottery creations.

  1. I’d love to see more Cooking Light recipes – especially complete dinners! I struggle with getting all of the components done at the same time, so maybe some tips on kitchen time management, too!
Also – a few Christmas cookies – one can never have enough!

  2. I’m a big fan of the blog, congrats on the 3-year anniversary! I love that you do so many giveaways… this looks like a really good one.

  3. I love coffee. With sugar and just a splash of cream- and I have friends who SWEAR by the french press, so I’m excited about the chance to win one of my own!

  4. I’ve only being reading this blog for a little while, but congrats on three years! I made the blueberry scone with lemon drizzle recipe a few weeks ago and everyone loved it!

I do love my coffee strong with lots of milk/cream… so I’m totally excited for the giveaway!

  5. Congratulations on your 3rd blogiversary! 🙂 I just checked out Tricia’s ClayRoadStudios shop on Etsy and all is can say is….I want one of everything! LOVE! Thanks for sharing and the giveaway opportunity!

  6. I love adding plain soy milk and a spoonful of sugar to my coffee. I shake the soy milk container before adding it to my coffee, so it gets nice and frothy.

  7. Congrats!!! Making PHL foodies proud 🙂 Need cookie ideas for Christmas, preferably of the pumpkin or salted caramel variety…vanilla coconut milk, no sugar!
