My 2nd Blogiversary and Giveaway!

Two years ago today, I decided to begin writing a blog to help track my progress as I learned how to cook. I am in the process of updating the look of my blog (it’s still a work in progress) and was looking over some of my most recent posts. They were so much fun to read but my goodness the photos were awful! I still have a lot to learn both in cooking, blogging, and photography so I can’t wait to see what the next year brings.

Knowing others read this and actually care about what I post has been a huge motivation. I wanted to thank you for reading my posts and keeping me going on my cooking journey.  So what’s a birthday party without some presents? In celebration of my blog turning two, I put together a little giveaway.

With the holidays coming up, I figured most people are starting to think about their next baking project (or at least I am). One lucky reader will be all set to bake his or her little heart out because I am giving away a cookie baking kit!

The baking kit (~$125 value) includes the following:

  1. Every year for Christmas, my mom and I do a crazy bake-a-thon, with tons of varieties. My favorite is my great-grandmother’s recipe. We call them Little Cupcakes, but really they are sour cream dough, pressed thing and filled with a sweet walnut batter. So delicious!

  2. My favorite kind of cookie would have to be chocolate chip! But my mama makes amazing sugar cookies with vanilla frosting and raspberry jelly drizzle! They are amazing!

  3. I already left one blog comment, so don’t disqualify me for this one, but the other night my Mom taught me my grandmother’s secret ooey gooey butter cookie recipe… I never met my grandma. She died after my parents got married, but cooking this recipe with my mother helped me feel connected to her somehow. I just thought I would share how something as simple as baking cookies together can bring families and individuals in general so much closer! Bake a batch with a friend or your partner and share them. Wrap some up and give them to the neighbors just because, or bring them to work for your employees. Just food for thought. Happy thanksgiving!

    1. Haha no worries Rachel, no disqualification here 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing your story, it’s always wonderful to hear how food and baking can make (or recall) memories.

  4. I would love to do some baking with my Grandchildren. This would be some awesome products to make some cookies with. Thanks Kim.

  5. My favorite cookie is the all time originial chocolate chip with walnuts. But I also love it using the mint chocolate chips 😉

  6. AHHHH fingers crossed! The giveaway is almost over! Good luck everyone 🙂 And congrats again on your 2nd blogiversary! That is such a big accomplishment!
