Ingredients

butter
at room temperature

sugar

light brown sugar

large egg
at room temperature

teaspoon
vanilla extract

chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°. Line a baking pan with silicone sheet or parchment paper.
Mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium sized bowl. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine the butter, sugar, and brown sugar together using an electric mixer until well combined.
Beat in the egg, followed by the vanilla extract.
Slowly add in the dry combined ingredients until just combined.
Mix in the chocolate chips.
Roll heaping tablespoons of dough into balls or use a cookie scoop and add to a baking sheet.
Bake at 375° for 8-10 mins — you want to take them out when they are just beginning to brown to keep a chewy cookie.
Let cool on pan for 5 minutes.
